The weather was perfect on the pre-autumn day.  A chill was in the air with sunshine which made for great atmosphere for slurping coffee. The presentation was very informative I never realized how much there was to know about coffee. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We recieved rave reviews on the desserts.  I think the fudgy mocha cupcakes with chocolate coffee ganache were voted the favorite. We will be hosting the coffee cupping again perhaps on a early spring day. Stay posted for the details which will come in the spring.

Some of our guests have voiced a desire to have a wine tasting so today I have made some calls regarding this event and will be working to put something together. We are thinking of  pairing 3 wines with food stations and then a wine with a dessert. So stay in tune for the details and the possibility of the  upcoming date.

We have made great progress on the installation of our new street lamps in the garden. They look phenomenal and add such architectural charm to the gardens. We have already begun the work of chopping down some perennials to get the beds ready for winter. The mums & fall pansies have been planted for fall color. It is nice to use the mums as annuals.

The tea room has been decorated for the fall/halloween season. We have decided that the witch collection would do nicely in the tea room. Very whimsy and oh sooooooooo cute and festive.

We will be picking our yearly reserve of apples soon hopefully this week. Plans on in the works for the changing of the Christmas village display. Just when you think that everything will be status quo more boxes and pieces make their way into your life & attic and more space is needed. Because the additional pieces and the existing village can’t be moved out (as in a addition to the house) the only way to accomadate them is to go UP and in tiered displays so we are currently working on this. What happened to our statement “No More Projects.”  OOOOOPPPPPPPs I guess we forgot that part AGAIN. Oh well, whats life without changes.

Well, back to planning, doing & thinking. TTFN
